Adult entertainment website Pornhub has added Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC) as payment methods for premium services on its platform.
Announced in a tweet, Pornhub is expanding its cryptocurrency options to its over 130 million daily visitors who can now pay for subscriptions using Bitcoin and Litecoin.
Speaking on the development, Corey Price – vice president at Pornhub remarked:
“As a leader in adult content with over 130 million visitors per day, Pornhub is excited to now offer two widely-used and leading digital currencies for our users. Our team continues to pave the way for tech development, testing and implementing new technology for everyday consumers far ahead of the mainstream market.
While crypto payments are not new to Pornhub as it already begun accepting Verge (XVG) in 2018, the addition of the number one cryptocurrency Bitcoin is a sure boost for adoption via the world’s ninth most popular website with 3 billion monthly visitors.
It will be recalled that Pornhub had resorted to other payment methods including Tether (USDT) payouts for its models after Paypal abruptly stopped servicing the website and its users.
Other accepted cryptocurrencies on Pornhub include: Tron (TRX), Horizen (ZEN), and PumaPay (PMA) token.
