Turkish Real Estate Firms Accepts Bitcoin Payments

Turkish real estate firm – Antalya Homes has announced that its customers can now pay for properties using Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies.

According to an official announcement, Antalya Homes says it holds the record for the highest-valued real estate sale paid with Bitcoin in Turkey.

The company notes that the current coronavirus pandemic has forced the real estate industry to innovate, which has seen the firm introduce a Teleproperty feature allowing buyers to make purchases and payments over the phone after an online viewing tour of the property using either Facetime, WhatsApp Video Call or Skype.

Antalya Homes says adding support for Bitcoin payments on its website, now offers customers access to safer and faster transactions, while also promoting BTC use in the real world.

Bayram Tekce – Antalya Homes Chairman remarked:

β€œIn the sale of a villa in Antalya, we recorded visuals of the house with a drone and did an online viewing tour with the customer. Then, we brought the buyer and the seller together on an online meeting and finalized the negotiations. Antalya Homes brokered the payments with Bitcoin. This sale, worth [$1.25 million], was the highest valued property sale ever made by Bitcoin in Turkey.”

A look at the Antalya Homes website now shows a dedicated “Pay with Bitcoin” section, with the company also accepting payments in Ripple (XRP), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin Gold (BTG), Litecoin (LTC), Stellar (XLM), Ethereum (ETH), and stablecoin Tether (USDT).

The use of cryptocurrencies for property purchases is gaining traction in the real estate industry, with a number of unique buildings offered for sale in the number one cryptocurrency.
