South Korean authorities have asked Interpol to issue a red notice for Terra’s co-founder, Do Kwon as his current location remains unknown.
The report by Financial Times comes barely 48 hours after Do Kwon said he wasn’t on the run, adding that his company will defend itself in due time.
The red notice serves as a request for law enforcement worldwide to locate and arrest a wanted individual until extradition proceedings commence. The notice will be shared with police officers in 195 countries.
It would be recalled that Singaporean authorities stated that Do Kwon wasn’t in the country as widely speculated.
On September 14, South Korean authorities issued an arrest warrant for Kwon who is a citizen of the country. However, it isn’t known if he holds a second or third citizenship.
Kwon is warranted by authorities following the crash of both LUNA and UST which set the entire crypto industry in disarray back in May.
