Cosmos gains 12% as Bitcoin, Ethereum recover

Cosmos (ATOM), the native token of the eponymous blockchain network has gained 12% in the last 24 hours. At the time of writing, ATOM currently trades at $11.430.

The 27th largest cryptocurrency based on market capitalization is still trading 74% down from its September 2021 all time high,

The cryptocurrency market was drastically hit in the past two weeks as LUNA, the native token of the Terra blockchain lost up to 100% of its value, falling from its all-time-high of $120 to $0.00. The Terra stablecoin, UST, also lost its dollar peg and exchanged hands at 22 cents rather than the usual $1.

ATOM has also seen a spike in its trading volume across exchanges . Its trading volume roughly stands at $327 million in the last 24 hours and it’s up by 11% compared to the previous day.

The total value locked (TVL) in Cosmos, the largest protocol by TVL eponymous ecosystem, has also increased by 2.16% to $2.32 billion in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, the price of Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency based on market capitalization, has jumped 4.42% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $30,301. The price of Bitcoin tanked about 14 days ago, slipping below $25k.

Similarly, the second largest cryptocurrency based on market capitalization, Ethereum, is also up by 5.6% and trading at $2040.
