Curtin University Australia – The largest university in Western Australia has announced the launch of its Cryptocurrency PhD program.
The Cryptocurrency PhD Scholarship Fund will allow individuals and companies to sponsor PhD students studying blockchain, cybersecurity and data analytic courses, using crypotocurrency funding.
According to school authorities, the program will be fully funded through Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), as they aim to popularize the use of cryptocurrenccies as a payment method.
Speaking on the fund, Deputy VC of Curtin University describes the scholarship as an opportunity for wealthy cryptocurrency investors to groom a new generation of interested PhD graduates, to help develop the emerging technology.

By establishing the Cryptocurrency PhD Scholarship Fund, Curtin will provide the opportunity for entrepreneurs who have realised significant benefits from cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum to give something back to these communities.
